About us

Hello and welcome to AKA Marketing.com. AKA Marketing.com based in Dublin, Ireland was created to serve the information needs of webmasters and Internet marketing professionals alike. Our Aim is to provide you with the sort of 'Gold' information that other businesses charge for on a daily basis for free.

The site was lauched in April 2002 and was a hit from the start due to the excellent content to be found on it, we soon found ourselves exceeding bandwidth levels by massive amounts, nowadays however we're better able to cope with large numbers of visitors. As mentioned above the success of the AKA Marketing.com site lays firmly in the fact the it provides excellent content in the form of articles, tutorials and guides. Hundreds of people have emailed us, thanking us for providing them with the ultimate guide to promoting their site on the Internet.

In recent times we have seen more emphasis being placed on search engine optimisation content with SEO related discussions leading the way on our forums. Our May 2006 redesign has seen the addition of an SEO tools section and a blog which will feature SEO (among other things) related postings so search engine optimization is a big area of interest for us.

Our webmaster, author and promoter is David Callan. David is a search engine optimisation consultant who has held SEO contractor positions with some of Ireland's leading Internet development houses and who has also completed many freelance SEO projects sourced from the AKA Marketing.com website and word of mouth. David has been studying and researching various Internet marketing and SEO methods for many years now. What he knows he writes about. The quality of his written work is evidenced by the fact that his Internet marketing and search engine optimisation articles have been published in hundreds if not thousands of websites, blogs and ezine newsletters and in all major languages.

As far as technicial skills are concerned, he is the proud holder of a First Class Honours degree in Computer Science from the Dublin Institute of Technology, one of the most respected colleges in Ireland. He has designed, developed and maintained many websites over the last few years. His current 9 to 5 job as an Internet systems developer with ESB International, a leading engineering company sees him working with the PHP and C# programming languages developing systems designed to make the day to day tasks of other ESBI employees (1,100+) more streamlined and efficient.
